Remarks
BIOSS is a research project aiming to understand and analyze how biosphere reserves in mountainous regions can be used as models for new forms of science-society interaction to promote sustainability. By investigating the diversity of science-society interactions in biosphere reserves, BIOSS seeks to identify the most effective strategies for creating actionable knowledge and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. Project coordination: Katharina Gugerell (BOKU Wien). The project is funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences and is carried out within the framework of the "The Earth System Sciences (ESS) research program.
